PARTNERSHIFT ALLIANCE
STATEMENT The purpose of PartnerSHIFT Alliance is to: Create and model conscious and collaborative partnerships celebrating interdependence and the flourishing of all life. We recognize that we have an opportunity to gift a quality of being to the movement at large by helping people be more effective in collaborative and “network of network” working relationships. Therefore, The PartnerSHIFT Alliance is an incubator for self-organizing collaborations among members of the group that help the individuals and the PartnerSHIFT Alliance as a whole move toward this purpose. It achieves this by creating a context for the partners to meet and deepen their relationships with each other to discover a new way of working together that will help us as a whole live into our collective higher purpose. To that end, the “doing” of the PartnerSHIFT Alliance, is a “being”. Our offering is to discover and share tools and strategies for working together that fosters greater synergy and efficacy in all of our initiatives. It is our hope and dream to create a replicable blueprint for conscious partnership for other circles to use. We intend to share in an open and transparent way our findings and practices as they unfold. The DNA of PartnerSHIFT Alliance is designed to be: Simple & devastatingly clear The PartnerSHIFT Alliance Partners agree:
The practice of conscious partnership is: An embodied commitment to deep and open communication of shared purpose using many resources and tools honoring diversity and balance while fostering trust and celebration. The PartnerSHIFT Alliance is organized and convened by: A Communications Committee: that handles the back end of communication technologies: google groups, wiserearth.org training and managing the website. This group meets weekly and is formed on an opt in and self-organizing basis. The Stewardship Council: Is a representative body of the Synergy Circle. It oversees the tactical work that needs to happen to keep the alliance moving. This is an opt – in self organizing group with participants agreeing to replace themselves by other partners if they find them selves unable to continue participating. The committee is made up of several small committees handling functions like future logistics, planning meetings, writing content for the website, writing letters to partners, seeking funding and hosting special conference calls for topical issues to support collaboration and learning. Stewardship committee members agree to full participation (2 calls per month and extra time leading up to gatherings) more on the committee as a criterion for joining committee. The Synergy Circle consists of the Partners of the Alliance. It is a convening body that gives advice/support to the Stewardship Committee. It meets as is necessary. Currently the Circle agrees to meet 3 times per year with the possibility of moving to twice per year. It is comprised of people who attend the July 2007 summit at IONS and is open to other partner/members to attend. It was formerly known as the Wisdom Council. The PartnerSHIFT all partner conference call happens on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 12-1pm. PST. All partners are invited to this call. The purpose is to have a regular connection, share new information and update each other on various collaborations.
